Chiropractic Adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment can make you feel so much better. Your body does not want to be out of alignment, and that’s exactly what an adjustment can help address. It is also known as chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that have abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment will assist in fixing these issues.
The goal of chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation, increase the range of motion, reduce nerve irritability, and improve mobility. Our compassionate and qualified chiropractor will work with you to relieve this pain and get you back to being pain free every single day.
Although many people visit their chiropractor and have an adjustment when something feels out of alignment, a regular visit will help you avoid any pain in the future and will keep your body feeling great all day long.
If you are having one of those days when you are not in the best mood, an adjustment may actually help. Your body will feel much better, which will naturally improve your mood.
Physiotherapy
It is important to understand that often times where the pain presents is not the area that needs to be treated. The pain may be due to that area compensating and being over-worked from another area not pulling its weight. Our rehabilitation program includes strength, flexibility and agility training as well as training focused on coordination of body parts and motion to prepare the individual to return to full participation.
Nutritional Consultations
Here at Chiropractic Elevated we want to help you on your journey towards health and wellness. Our goal is to help you achieve total health and balance with your body. In order to achieve that goal, we are here to offer specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to help you maintain a healthy weight.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. There are many types of massage therapy methods (also called modalities). People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons; for example, to reduce stress and anxiety, to relax muscles, to rehabilitate injuries, to reduce pain and to promote overall health and wellness.
Pediatric Chiropractic
Chiropractic care is not just for adults. In fact, more and more parents are seeing the many benefits of their children seeing a chiropractor every single day. Some of the benefits are improved sleep, improved behavior and attitude, and improved immune system function. Children encounter many physical stresses in their life that you may not realize. These stresses can cause your child’s spine to have issues in growth and development.
Pre/Postnatal Chiropractic
Here at Chiropractic Elevated, we offer a conservative approach to treating pregnant women. Our prenatal care is gentle and safe. We aim to alleviate the stress and strains of pregnancy while improving comfort for both the mother and baby. We understand the physical changes that come with pregnancy, and we offer relief without using any drugs.
Back Pain
Since back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide, it is vital to know how to prevent the cause of back pain. By maintaining a healthy diet and weight, remaining active and avoiding prolonged inactivity or bed rest are all important ways to avoid back pain. Before doing exercises or any physical activity, it is recommended to warm up and/or stretch.
Headaches/ Migraines
Nine out of ten Americans say that they suffer from headaches. Some of these people experience headaches frequently. Some experience constant headaches that are very painful. These can even make a person nauseous. Ninety-five percent of headaches are tension, migraine, or cluster headaches. These types of headaches are not caused from a disease, but from something in your body that is not sitting correctly.
Shockwave Therapy
At Chiropractic Elevated, we are happy to offer our patients Shockwave therapy as an additional non-invasive option for treating chronic pain. Shockwave therapy works by emitting an acoustic wave through a handheld device into areas where you are experiencing pain. The high energy produced by the device reaches deep into your tissues, tendons, and bones to promote regeneration and the natural healing processes of your body.
Some of the conditions we can treat with Shockwave therapy include:
- Jumper’s knee
- Shoulder pain
- Tennis elbow
- Heel spur
- Insertional pain
- Chronic tendinopathy
- Medial tibial stress syndrome
- Calcifications
- Hip pain
Shockwave therapy is non-invasive and can provide immediate relief from your painful symptoms. During the appointment, our chiropractor will locate the area to be treated by palpating. After the pain is isolated, a gel will be applied to the area, which helps to transfer the acoustic waves through the tissue. Once a sufficient amount of gel is applied, the Shockwave applicator is gently pressed to the treatment area, and treatment can begin. Treatment generally lasts about five minutes.
During treatment, you may feel minor discomfort depending on the severity of your pain. If it becomes too uncomfortable for you, please let your chiropractor know so that the intensity can be adjusted. Afterward, we recommend you refrain from activities that may irritate the treatment area for 48 hours. Depending on your particular condition, we recommend between 3 and 5 treatments, which are done 3-10 days apart.

Postural Screening
Here at Chiropractic Elevated, we are proud to offer spinal posture screening services. A straight spine is important for proper body movement and healthy organ function. The onset of significant spinal conditions generally occurs between the ages of 10 and 14 in adolescent development.
Screening of the spine may provide an opportunity to identify problems that might impact student health. For this reason, many schools facilitate this screening as part of a health physical, and at-risk students are highly encouraged to be rechecked yearly. Posture screening may generally include assessment for scoliosis (side to side curve), kyphosis (round back) and lordosis (sway back).

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a fairly common disorder that affects a person’s ability to remain focused and control impulsive behaviors. Those with ADHD might find themselves feeling restless and have a near-constant urge to be active and moving. Although it is frequently diagnosed in children and adolescents, ADHD can continue well into adulthood, along with problems such as inattention, disorganization, and poor impulse control.
At Chiropractic Elevated, we are pleased to offer treatment options for those with ADHD. Whether you are a parent concerned about your child’s behavior and symptoms, or an adult who feels like this description sounds all too familiar, we are here to help. Living with ADHD can be challenging, regardless of the severity.
- Difficulty sustaining attention in tasks or play
- Failure to follow through on instructions, projects, or tasks
- Easily sidetracked
- Trouble getting and staying organized
- Frequently losing items necessary for school, work, or other essential tasks
- Becoming distracted easily by unrelated thoughts or stimuli
- Forgetful in daily activities
- Seems not to listen well when spoken to directly
- Fidgeting, squirming, and not being able to sit still
- Restlessness
- Inability to quietly engage in play or hobbies
- Being constantly in motion
- Talking nonstop
- Interrupting others when they’re speaking, blurting out answers, finishing other people’s sentences, and not being able to wait for one’s turn to speak
Having any or some of these symptoms does not always mean a person has ADHD. Children are especially prone to some of these behaviors naturally and ultimately learn to harness their energy and focus as they grow. An active child doesn’t necessarily equate to one with ADHD, and we are very careful to assess each patient’s full medical and personal history before making a diagnosis.
It is our highest priority to provide thorough and effective care to all our patients, and that starts with treating the person as a whole, not just the symptoms. Treatment options for ADHD may include medication such as stimulants, non-stimulants, and antidepressants, therapy, and stress-management techniques, to name a few.
If you have questions about ADHD and how we can help you with your symptoms, please call our office at (818) 273-7396 today!
